Massive demo set for 22 March
03 Mar 2017 at 03:58hrs | Views
NERA has set the 22nd of March as the date for the massive demonstration against the decision by the government to take over the BVR kits procurement process.
The move by the government to hijack the BVR kits procurement process marks the commencement of an elaborate vote rigging system by the government and Zanu PF. It comes as a result by Mugabe and all his possible successors that they can not win the 2018 elections. Therefore, as usual they want to circumvent the will of the people.
Clearly, zanu PF and its corrupt state machinery is testing the people's resolve through this blatant display of disrespect and base arrogance. I they succeed in this sordid move they will introduce more measures to ensure that the electoral system is as opaque as possible.
Zimbabweans have to rise up and show that they can stand up to the disrespectful and arrogant regime. We therefore call upon all Zimbabweans from all walks of life and irrespective of political opinion to take part in this historic demonstration.
This is a defining moment for Zimbabwe. For we must choose between taking our destiny in our own hand and being meek and forever be consigned to perpetual poverty and misery. Go forward we die, go backwards we die: better go forward! Together we will win. Victory is Certain.
