Savannah Madamombe facing resistance in New York
21 Sep 2017 at 06:17hrs | Views
I laughed my lungs out after watching a pitiful demonstration by MDC-T North America Province, which was led by Savannah Madamombe in New York recently.
Firstly, I have realized that most Zimbabweans whether inside Zimbabwe or abroad refuse to be used by such political activists like Madamombe, who will have nothing constructive to say, besides singing for her supper.
Savannah mobilized Zimbabweans who reside in America to join her in demonstration against President Mugabe through social media. However, it should be made clear to Madame Madamombe that people are no longer interested in participating to her fundraising activities. People have opened their eyes wide enough and have realized that they were being robbed of their liberty by this embattled lady.
Surely, Zimbabweans cannot lose sleep over these self-exiled people who want to seek relevance through social media. People are really annoyed by this Mugabe-Must-Go mantra. President Mugabe was constitutionally elected in office; hence he can only be removed through the ballot box.
Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Zimbabweans in America for showing their true colours that they are real Zimbabweans through turning down Savannah's call for protests.
Protesting against a Head of State in a foreign nation will never solve anything, but tarnish the image of the nation.
