No justification for the cancelation of Magwegwe constituency primary elections
26 May 2018 at 22:14hrs | Views
Magwegwe constituency primary elections have been canceled. The reason is Anele is writing his final law exam. Ordinary members have been sacrificed for his personal interests. Anele is preparing final law exams on Monday in Harare at the University of Zimbabwe. This has led the Bulawayo provincial leadership to cancel the primary elections. People have been sacrificed and Anele Khupe's baby has won the day.
It is alleged that this has Chamisa's blessings and Chamisa gave the Greenlight to shelve these crucial elections for Magwegwe constituency. The provincial leadership working under Khupe's orders have taken precedence over the people's needs. It is indeed incorrect that Chamisa gave the orders to postpone these elections.
It is my belief that we have to stand up and fight for our rights. It is however necessary for us as a people of Magwegwe constituency to demonstrate and demand our freedom as a people. As members of the community we must show great concern and take charge of proceedings on all affected areas.
On the other hand it has been said that elections where postponed because Anele's vehicles where all in Matebeleland south where Chamisa is holding rallies. It is therefore argued that Anele needs time to campaign. This clearly indicates that the provincial leadership is fighting Khupe's battles. Like I said in my last installments the Bulawayo provincial leadership talks Chamisa during the day and acts for Khupe at night. It is quite unfortunate that the people of Magwegwe suffer.
Chairman Banda must think of the people first and individuals second. I'm terribly frustrated. However as a party cardre I'm solidly behind the party president and all the leadership. It is true that no one this time will push me away from this victorious party. Being an MP or not is the same as long as president is to be at state house
The party is suffering and surprisingly many are dying in silence. Now is the time to say everything out in the open. In order for the National Council and president become aware of these machinations they might seem how detrimental it is to the party in Bulawayo.
The spokesperson I understand spoke to Chamisa and advised to allow Anele to be present so that he can be beaten whilst there to avoid unnecessary complains of being rigged if elections are done during his absence. In other words it makes a lot of sense but let's the consider the populace not an individual.
The notice to cancel the election was from the deputy organizing person and Alderman Sikhala was also surprised by the cancelation of the primary elections in Magwegwe constituency.
I reiterate that we as the affected people of Magwegwe constituency must rise up and demand that just be done on us by allowing the primaries to take place in Magwegwe constituency. We can not bent rules to accommodate certain individuals.
I rest my case.
