The victim and savior card

The mugabeism system is hindering development for the people of Zimbabwe. Mugabe used to down play his ministers by giving them the platform to announce changes when he is abroad. He knew it would raise mayharm. When he returns, he immediately, during his airport arrival welcome, dismisses the pronouncement and makes the minister a fool unto himself. We all know Chinamasa was one of such a victim many times and all his efforts in trying to change the status quo were buried deep into the sand. On the other hand, it may have been just a plot to boost his ego among citizens as his popularity was fading. But, I believe he was just flowing with the wind and thus changing posts as it suits him disregarding his agreements with ministers. Beyond all this, the very ministers continued with business as usual after all those humiliations. Only a remarkable few left after they discover that they were being used and the Mugabe way of doing businees was of no good to the nation. Of course you just dont go freely, you have to be name called- a traitor.
Now, the master taught his servants well and the servants observed their master too well to continue and fine tune the mugabeism culture. Mnangagwa does exactly the same. In addition, he plays the victim card and tries to show to the nation and outside world that he is the saviour. All this leads us all to think the acting president, Chiwenga, is entirely to blame for taking excessive force and when Mnangagwa comes he plays the 'I did not command the killings, rapes and tortures by defence forces on my citizens'. Surely, only those with ear plugs in their ears and tapped or sealed eyes can believe this nonsence. Indeed, the mugabe culture is deeeply roted in ZANU PF and his tactics are their daily bread.
We have seen the victim card being played by Mnangagwa before during the mai Mugabe rallies. He kept quiet plotting well the savior card and indeed he emerged from the woods just like the Matigari in Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o's novel. How long will this continue to breathe poverty in our homes. Rebuilding Zimbabwe does not need this behaviour but an aptitude focused on reality, acceptance and giving those capable a chance.
