Geza's October 17 revolution is a paper tiger: Come back home and lead!

To speak against the October 17th demonstrations is not counter-revolutionary - it's a call for sanity. Politics in Zimbabwe has deteriorated. Today is Wednesday, and the ZANU-PF Congress is on its second day. What emerges from it is never about development - only leadership contests.
The youth need jobs and a future. Mnangagwa has failed to deliver meaningful change. His promises to the nation and the world have collapsed. Ironically, Chiwenga offers no improvement. We are regressing - undoing what colonial infrastructure left behind. Forty-five years backward. Recycling failed leadership.
Calling for an uprising is unfair to our children. We are using them as pawns. Chiwenga is flipping the table, urging youth to stage demonstrations reminiscent of Madagascar's coup - sacrificing limb and life so he can reclaim power. He's fighting for what was handed to him on a silver platter, which he foolishly rejected. Now our children must suffer for his glaring mistake. Many soldiers died during the 2017 coup. Must we repeat this?
Some Shona youth may want regime change. But I say: kuzvara mumwechete, isihelo siyafanana. The pain of birth is the same. I urge all youth to sit down. Do not respond to Geza's call for demonstrations this Friday.
Chamisa once said ZANU-PF used and abused both the MDC and the youth in 2017. We must not repeat that betrayal.
Nyokayemabhunu languishes in a South African prison, awaiting repatriation to face treason charges. On March 31, 109 activists were imprisoned. Chiwenga failed to negotiate their release. Journalist Blessed Mhlanga was incarcerated for three months - beaten naked one night for no reason, just humiliation.
Thousands died during the liberation struggle. Today, they live in poverty, worse than under Smith's rule. Their children have no future, despite Zimbabwe's wealth. The government cannot mobilise resources for the common man. Our minerals belong to Chinese nationals. When we protest the destruction of sacred sites, we are silenced - sometimes shot.
Pearls cast before swine. The swine do not know what to do with diamonds and gold. Crooks in power masquerade as liberators—looting as if there's no tomorrow. They have no clue how to govern.
Robert Mugabe never fought the war. Mnangagwa never set foot on the battlefield. Geza lived large in Romania, pretending to be Mugabe's son. He now urges youth to face bullets while he hides in Polokwane.
During the liberation war, commanders sent young people to fight while they remained in safe zones - abusing abducted women. The worst gender-based violence occurred in liberation camps. Nobody talks about it. Why the silence?
Stories from the struggle are sickening. Today, people claim they fought for independence. They boast of being war veterans. But the truth is sugarcoated. The war was brutal - especially in southern Africa.
The ZANU PF Annual National People's Conference is about power - not progress. Jonathan Moyo is fueling the chaos. He released the "Breaking Barriers Initiative" to coincide with the conference - a document designed to polish Mnangagwa's ego and extend his rule beyond 2028. It manipulates Section 92 of the Constitution. Mnangagwa wants to die in office - the very reason Mugabe was deposed. The irony.
Jonathan wants back in. He's trying to impress Mnangagwa by helping destroy Chiwenga. But Zimbabwe needs capable leadership - not geriatrics like Mnangagwa and Chiwenga. Jonathan's methods are destructive and self-serving.
ZANU PF Secretary for Legal Affairs, Ziyambi Ziyambi, defended the extension of Mnangagwa's rule, citing Resolution Number 1 and Section 6 of the party's constitution. But this is not democracy - it's entrenchment.
Dismissing the Geza revolution is not betrayal. As a mother, I fear unnecessary loss of life. The critical mass has not yet been reached. A genuine revolution will not be led by geriatrics - but by young, capable leaders. We have many who can chart a true path forward.
