Today marks the seventh anniversary of the passing of Cde Robert Gabriel Mugabe, Zimbabwe's founding father and the man who led our nation through the gruelling armed struggle against colonial rule to the birth of our independence on 18 April 1980.
Cde Mugabe's legacy is one of profound leadership. He is remembered as a pan-Africanist and revolutionary icon who dedicated his life to the emancipation and empowerment of his people. He introduced universal education, built rural health centres, and championed land reform to redress colonial injustices. He was a fearless voice against Western domination and advocated for the Palestinian cause.
We remember the iconic leader with a larger-than-life personality.
