The Warriors are ready to roll in their first Africa Cup of Nations finals match in Gabon on Sunday.
The Kalisto Pasuwa coached side is aiming for a win against Algeria at Stade de Franceville.
Warriors captain, Willard Katsande, is quoted on Kaizer Chiefs website saying a win is key in the first match.
"We need to win the first match at all costs because we want to be on the front foot, which will boost our confidence for the remainder of the tournament".
"Our plan is to qualify for the knockout stage, but we will treat each game as it comes. We will focus on the here and now, which is to do well in the group stage".
Warriors' manager Sharif Mussa said the team is focused.
"Real business is here now and the boys are taking this game, as they should, very seriously and want to win it.
"They are well focused psychologically and I hope and pray that they continue and while I cannot tell now whether they have any stage fright or not, those signs are not there at all, the game against Cameroon assisted us".
