It was yet another premier league exciting feature as ZPC Kariba locked horns with F.C Platinum at Mandava stadium in Zvishavane.
The defeat to Telone F.C on Sunday really rubbed F.C Platinum's gaffer Norman Mapeza the wrong way such that today's match was supposed to be a must win.
Mapeza 's boys didn't disappoint as they started the game with so much determination which was proving to be causing an atmosphere of uneasiness within the ZPC Kariba players.
13 minutes into the first half, Rahman Kutsanzira opened up for F.C Platinum courtesy of Ali Sadiki.
The opener seemed to have roughened up the electricity boys who afterwards began to show a zest for retaliation.
Regardless, of the efforts that they were putting, Mapeza's boys wouldn't have any of that and the first half ended with F.C Platinum a goal ahead.
Godfrey Tamirepi's half time talk with his boys seemed to have worked as ZPC Kariba came back for the second half in a different mantra.
The level of play of ZPC Kariba was proving to be momentous for F.C Platinum who were now concentrating more on defense than attacking.
This also proved to be a thorn for ZPC Kariba as evidenced by their physical manner of playing which in turn costed them at the very last end as they conceded a penalty.
Devon Chafa did not hesitate to punish the visitors for their actions and made it two in the 89th minute and that was the last nail to the coffin.
F.C Platinum are now the log leaders with 17 points whilst awaiting the results of now second placed Chapungu who will trade blows with fourth placed Chicken Inn at Ascot stadium in Gweru tomorrow.
