The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) says it hopes the Warriors' impressive display at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) will help land a long term deal with kit manufacturer, Umbro, ZBC News reported.

An agreement which saw Umbro supplying kits to the Warriors was an arrangement for the CHAN tournament only and ZIFA is hoping a long term deal with the kit sponsor will be reached in the coming weeks.

ZIFA Board Member - Marketing, Nigel Munyathi said while the Umbro deal was just for the CHAN finals, there is optimism at ZIFA House that a long term deal will be reached following the Warriors' impressive display in South Africa.

The Zimbabwe national soccer team has in recent years struggled to secure a long term deal with a reputable kit manufacturer.

The CHAN finals were however an opportunity to finally partner with a kit supplier after Warriors head coach, Ian Gorowa facilitated a deal which saw Umbro providing match kits, training regalia and all supplies required by the team.

The deal was however for the finals only and hopes are that ZIFA and Umbro can come to an agreement.
