Grain Marketing Board general manager Mr Albert Mandizha's contract of employment expired on November 30 after serving the firm for seven years, while the hunt for his successor has begun.
GMB board chairman Mr Charles Chikaura said Mr Mandizha has opted to pursue other interests.
The GMB has requested that Mr Mandizha continues as general manager while they recruit a suitable person to fill the post.
"In the interim, the board with the approval of the Minister of Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation Development, has requested Mr Mandizha to continue as general manager while it is in the process of recruiting a new general manager.
"The Minister of Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation Development, the board and the entire GMB staff extend their gratitude to Mr Mandizha for the service rendered to the organisation and wish him well in his new endeavours," said Mr Chikaura.
