THE former Ndolwane Super Sounds bass guitarist who went solo in 2009 after the death of four band members is set to release his first digital visual disc (DVD) later this year.
Obert Mvundla went solo after the death of Last Fathiya, Abson Ndebele, Victor Chembe and Gabe Ncube in 2008.
"We are busy working on a DVD which would be released later this year and the songs are not new, we are only dramatising the songs of my previous albums as a way to reach out to all the people including those who do not understand TjiKalanga," Mvundla.
He said that the DVD would be one of its kind, as it would be a movie in song, dramatised like what is done by the Culture Spears of Botswana and Kapfupi.
In 2009 Mvundla collaborated with Izigilamkhuba and released an album titled Isandla and it had eight songs such as Lifunangenzeni Bazali Bami, Umbulali and Hazwadzi among others.
In 20101 released an album titled Luba Lami and in this one I was talking of my beloved wife who is always on my mind and how I wish I could fly so that we can always be together," said Mvundla.
He said the songs in the album include Isimanga, Banjo-Tjolila and Problem after problem.
He was backed by Quiet Gambulo, Prosper Sibanda and TVust Maphosa.
The guitarists were Moses Dotonya, Thomas Matururo and Joe Madlambuzi.
He revealed that Izigilamkhuba is the same group as Orchestra Super Sounds so fans should not be puzzled, as they now believe that these are two different groups.
