A new gospel couple Tafadzwa and Wisdom Mukaro has embarked on a gospel expedition with the
release of their debut six track album called Mwari Anesu which was released on 03 April 2014.
The album contains the following songs, Iniwo Here, Mhinduro, Nhasi Uno, Ishe Gadzirai,Rwendo and Tendeukai. The songs are currently receiving fair airplay on all state radio stations and StarFm.
On Starfm the song Mhinduro is topping the Gospel Greats show. The album contains uplifting, worship songs in an Afro-jazz sound.
The lyrics of all songs come from biblical teachings and life experiences. "As I continue to write music, I want to be an inspiration to churchgoers around the world," stated Tafadzwa.
"In some of these songs, I sing about how Christ has changed my own personal life and made me the
person I am today," said Tafadzwa.
"We believe we were created to worship God, and our music has become the perfect vehicle for us to fulfil our destiny."
The album was recorded and produced at Lyton Studios, by veteran music producer Lyton Ngolomi and his wife Bethany Pasinawako-Ngolomi, of the Ndinzverei fame assisted in the backing vocals on the album.
The couple has assembled a band and are now performing on various occasions such as church services, crusades and corporates functions. Despite releasing their first album and being new on the gospel music scene, many people have been requesting and screaming for more on all their performances held so far. The couple is proving to have what it takes on the gospel music arena. Tafadzwa and Wisdom Mukaro both go to AFM Church and also work in a financial institution.
Tafadzwa Mukaro with the lead vocals grew up at Old Mutare Mission in Mutare. She went to Hartzell primary and high school before enrolling at African University for her tertiary education. She was also in the AU Choir which toured America in 2007.
