Mxolisi Mavundla affectionately known as "Zinjaziyamluma" a maskandi musician from Tsholotsho has released a compilation DVD.
Inspired by Bhekumuzi Luthuli and Phuzukhemisi, Zinjaziyamluma is riding high on the maskandi wave as he takes advantage of the few musicians playing this genre in the country.
Mavundla's whose solo musical carrier started in 2013 has churned out four albums.
His current 14-track DVD titled the best of Zinjaziyamluma has songs dedicated to Amahlolanyama and Tsholotsho football clubs among other smashing hits.
Zinjaziyamluma, whose musical carrier started with imbube or isichathamiya, says artists must work closely with the media, especially the national broadcaster, for their music to get airplay.
The omaskand music, though not very common in the country is a confirmation of Zimbabwe's rich diversity in the arts.
