Mthwakazi Republic Party has described MDC-T legislator Eddie Cross as a Zanu-PF stooge, masquerading as an MDC-T official.

This was after Cross recently claimed in his opinion article that Ndebeles were divisive.

MRP Secretary for Foreign Affairs Ackim Gasela Mhlanga said Cross was a Zanu PF loyalist and that it was because of the British invasion of 1893 with the help of 652 Shona batsmen that we lost our kingdom.

According to the press, Eddie cross is reported to have said the emergence of Ndebele Nationalism is "dangerous and must be checked".

"It is now vivid to us that the deployment of Eddie Cross to Matabeleland, Bulawayo South Constituency to be precisely in 2008 was deliberately done so as to monitor the people of Matabeleland's movements in case they unite and start working together for a better Matabeleland," said Mhlanga.

"It is of the public knowledge that Eddie Cross's forefathers destroyed our Kingdom in 1893 together with Shonas and took 900 000 of king Lobengula herd of cattle, and 325 000 of them were given to Shonas as a token of appreciation. As if that was not enough, they further took Prince Njube the heir apparent to the Ndebele throne to Cape town. This was a plot by the British to finish of our kingdom and be sure it will never be revived again."

The party said it is so much saddening that my people of Bulawayo South trusted this man with their vote and now he is beginning to show his true Zanu PF colors what have we done to deserve this nonsense from Eddie Cross.

"Morgan Tsvangirai and MDCT as it is their norm to import Harare candidate to Matabeleland, Eddie Cross is one of those who were deployed in 2008 to push the 1979 shona grand plan as well as to monitor us," said Mhlanga.

"Mthwakazi Republic Party demands the resignation of Eddie Cross as the Member of Parliament for Bulawayo South. The man is not serving our interests but those of his masters in Harare. Therefore, MRP is calling upon all the people of Bulawayo South to register and vote Luba Gwebu in 2018 Parliamentary election, for Peace and Justice in Our Lifetime."
