The Zapu Youth Front in South Africa has distanced itself from the media reports that  the party youth leader warned of Dabengwa 'braai stick agenda again'. The opinion article by Thabani Dube was published by Bulawayo24 News on the 28th of May 2015. The youth front said the story was scandalous and contained yet unfounded allegations against Zapu leader, Dumiso Dabengwa.

"Its clearly a manipulative piece meant to try and side-foot the people of Bulawayo and indeed, Zimbabwe, from the goal at hand of kicking Zanu-PF out of power  slowly but inexorably, in the coming by-elections," said the party youth front.

"While we will not dignify the trash by responding to each and every allegation contained therein, we would like to state that we detest  such piece of gutter journalism, built on extreme fabrication, supported by unfounded hate for President Dabengwa".

"We are however, happy that Zapu Youth Front cadres are united in their support for their Commander-in-Chief, while the general public, especially in the five Bulawayo constituencies, has shown its total support for the party that fought and delivered Zimbabwe from the clutches of colonialism - the same party that has now taken it upon itself to further free Zimbabwe from the clutches of the dictatorial regime that is Zanu-PF.

The youth front said In their continued and unanimous support for Dabengwa, they are not surprised by such statements based on analysis pulled out of thin air because befits their detractors well, but on the contrary, the "braai stick" mantra will not veer us off track, while the "Zapu will take you back to Zanu-PF" paraphernalia speaks to the adage that "the old dog has lost its tactics".

"The article, clearly the work of the ruining party and its lapdogs, is clear indication that Zanu-PF is still living under the illusion that people still believe its devious statements built on hate for opponents than hope for the future. It is no wonder that our economy is in such a dire state," said the youth front.

"The country is being led by a bunch of clueless clowns masquerading as a government. Far from being arm twisted to chase side-shows, Zapu remains focused on its programmes of resuscitating our country economy and the removal of the abhorrent pariah tag status that is curtailing growth and hindering any prospects of getting our country back on its feet. That remains our primary objective as a party, which drives our efforts to get to government when the people of Zimbabwe give us that mandate."

The youth front said as the Zapu Youth in SA province, they would like to reaffirm their position that together with the party's leadership, they are going to fight with each and every bone and muscle in their bodies to ensure that we send the Gukurahundist architects to retirement, together with their infectious agenda. Clearly, they are now shaking in every limb in fear of the stark realities of a vibrant and strong ZAPU and all they do now is use outdated tactics of character assassinations built on phantom Zapu Youth Front members.

"We would like to therefore, make it clear to the residents of Bulawayo and the rest of Zimbabwe that our conscience is clear as we participate in the forthcoming by-elections. The ZAPU Youth Front has rattled its spears against the enemies of the people and NOW is the correct time for the people to show these political misfits that they have long passed their sell-by date and they must now GO NOW," said the youth front.

"We further invite all the people of Bulawayo and Zimbabwe at large to rally behind ZAPU and its leadership, led by the tried and tested Commander-in-Chief, President Dr Dumiso Dabengwa and to vote wisely in the June 10 elections."

They encouraged the electorate to vote Zapu candidates in the June 10 by elections.

Zapu fielded Alderman Michael Batandi Ronald Mpofu for Pumula, Amon Dube Nyamambi for Luveve, Jonathan J. Ndlovu for Makokoba, Casper Sibanda for Njube-Lobengula and  Strike Mkandla for Mpopoma all in Bulawayo constituencies.
