Notorious thieves hauled to court

Guruve based notorious thieves were hauled at Guruve magistrate court facing 16 counts of unlawful entry and theft of goods worth US$6000 today.
Dudzai Shikisha from Chikonyora village together with her ex-convict John Tahwa led the police to the recovery of goods worth US$6000 around Guruve and a motorbike stolen from Mvurwi.
The pair implicated Panashe Nhau and Lameck Kalunga in their shenanigans and were all remanded in custody for trial.
A villager who spoke to Bulawayo24.com revealed that there is jubilation in Chikonyora, Kagande book following the arrest of the alleged thieves who brought untold suffering in the village with their stealing habits.
"We are delighted about the arrest of Shikisha and her accomplice these people had terrorized the whole village we lost so many valuables to them.
"The police has done well but the problem is Shikisha and her jail boy they do not stay long in prison l don't know if it her juju or something.
"She once stole a cow and set ablaze a villager's hut but she just served a few months and came back," said the source.
Meanwhile, Shikisha and Tahwa are ex-convicts well – known in Guruve but were lucky to be out of prison due to the Presidential amnesty last year a move which was meant to decongest national prisons and promote better living conditions.
The stolen property is currently at Guruve police station and will be produced in court as exhibit.
