MEMBERS of the Zimbabwe National Army working hand in glove with the Zimbabwe Republic Police stationed at Bulawayo's Montrose Studios are reportedly searching journalists allegedly for information in memory sticks, laptops etc.
ZBC sources said last week there was a stop and search session at the Montrose studios gate where all ingoing and outgoing journalists and other staffers were arraigned and thoroughly searched.
'We were searched at the gate but the army and some two cops who said they were looking for information.
'They said they have received instructions from their bosses and to search us. But we just wonder how we can steal information in a place that is not digitalised via memory sticks,' said a journalist who requested anonymity.
Another staffer added:
'we cannot raise the issue with the authorities because they will obviously do nothing but further harass us,' she said.
Efforts to get a comment from Man Soul Jah where fruitless as he kept on saying he was in a meeting and will call after that.
