Mnangagwa cornered by Mugabe's G40

MDC official Discent Collins Bajila has described Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa's supporters as desperate in the wilderness of their preferred leader. Bajila says Mnangagwa is being attacked left right and centre by the G40 faction, which seems to be strongly backed by his boss President Robert Mugabe.

Bajila said with supporters like these, Mnangagwa now has each of the successive days of his life worse than the previous one yet better than the next.

"Physicists hope that, as in science, like would have attracted unlike and therefore Mnangagwa could actually be a different man from his followers. Yet Rhonda Bryne teaches us of the Law of Attraction which says like attracts like," he said.

"Whether you use magnetism or the Law of Attraction to look at Mnangagwa you can't escape landing at the conclusion that he is a man in deep trouble.Years of efforts to make Mugabe the god of Zanu PF have had the unintended consequence of providing Grace as the Moses of the journey."

He said the saddest part is that while Mugabe is firmly in charge of G40 to the extent of having his pillow as the Mount Sinai of G40, Mnangagwa's supporters seem to be largely what in IsiNdebele we call "umhlambi kazelusile".

"At their own pace, G40 chooses which LaCoste to suspend, reinstate, fire or even summon to podium in Grace's " Iwe George" style. The triumph of G40 is however not symbolic of anything other than the weakness of LaCoste," he said.

A united and more strategic opposition must stand up to G40 and present something more than just coming together.
