Globe-trotting all female ensemble, Nobuntu has said  locals do not appreciate their music as much as foreigners.

The group is currently holding shows to promote its second album, Ekhaya.

Duduzile Sibanda, one of the group's members said  the album is dedicated to Bulawayo.

"We have toured the world with our art, now we are back home to share this new album with our people.

"Everything begins at home and Bulawayo, Zimbabwe is where we come from and where we started from the bottom."

"Although locals do not appreciate us as much as foreigners do, Even Jesus said that a prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home, we hope this will change soon," said Sibanda.

The ensemble is made up of five women, who took it upon themselves to invade the men's dominated Imbube genre and bring in their voice to the entire music genre-Thandeka Moyo, Joyline Sibanda, Zanele Manhenga, Heather Dube and Duduzile Sibanda, make up the ensemble.

Nobuntu has so far staged shows in Bulawayo and Harare.

The third show is set to  Victoria Falls this weekend.
