One person died along Kanyemba-Mvurwi highway on Monday (yesterday) when a Toyota Wish he was travelling in veered off the road before over turning three times.
The vehicle had five people on board, one of them died on the spot while others escaped with minor injuries.
Eye witnesses claim that the accident happened at around 14:00hours near the 84km peg along Kanyemba-Mvurwi highway.
"This accident occurred just after lunch time, around 2pm, it was due to speeding as the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve," said Kelvin Chitsungo.
"We saw the car spinning three times and when we went to the scene one person had died," he added.
The body of the deceased has been sent to Guruve hospital awaiting postmortem, while the injured were treated and discharged.
The place has become a black spot due to the number of fatalities that have resulted from the spot. Two weeks ago a Shuttle bus over ran a pedestrian and in July, a Toyota Noah killed a baby on the same spot.
