23 candidates successfully file nomination papers

A total of 23 candidates have successfully filed their nomination papers at the High Court to contest for the post of the President of Zimbabwe in the polls slated for July 30.
This year's harmonized are the first without former long ruling Robert Mugabe - who was removed through a military coup in November 2017 - and Morgan Tsvangirai who passed on in February this year.
The two were succeded by Emmerson Mnangagwa and Nelson Chamisa who are standing in for Zanu PF and MDC Alliance respectively.
Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) Commissioner Qhubani Moyo told the media esrlier in the day that nomination process went on well throughout the country's 10 provinces.
