Three suspected robbers were arrested in Masvingo recently after they were found in possession of a pistol, 10 cell phones and US$800 at Zaka Business Centre.

Kudzai Gariko (20), Tawanda Gariko (22) of Huro Village, under chief Nhema in Zaka and Gift Mukombe (26) of 3696 Kuwadzana 3, Harare allegedly robbed two shops and a motorist in Zaka last week. The three robbers went to Zaka business centre where they entered Philipo store owned by Enos Sagove.  One of them allegedly pulled out the pistol and threatened Sagove before robbing him of US$320, two Nokia phones, two Samsung cell phones and one Vodafone cellphone.

They then proceeded to Mataga Store owned by Lloyd Mujeki about 20 metres away and again pulled out the pistol and threatened Mujeki. On their way out they saw Tawanda Manyemba under Chief Nhema in Zaka parking his Toyota Ipsum at the business centre and approached him.

Reports were made by the victims to the Police leading to the identification and arrest of Kudzai at ZB Bank in Masvingo. Kudzai disclosed the whereabouts of his accomplices who were arrested in Kuwadzana in Harare the following day.
