Out with the old... The Bulawayo City Council has replaced old equipment at its main water treatment facility
The Bulawayo City Council (BCC) has suspended the weekly 48-hour water-shedding programme introduced in February following a major rehabilitation of key infrastructure which has improved pumping capacity.
The BCC embarked on a major rehabilitation project at its water treatment works with funding from the African Development Bank, which saw the local authority changing old pipes and valves which were replaced with more efficient modern equipment.
