The Toyota Zimbabwe Challenge Rally 2011 is set to kick off on Friday with last year's rally champions Jamie Whtye and Phil Archenoul defending their title.
The rally is going to be a battle for supremacy as local and international drivers go in search of glory in the Toyota Zimbabwe Rally Challenge which explodes into life with a flagging off ceremony at Rainbow Towers on Friday afternoon.
National rally events Committee Chairperson, Mike Exton, could not hide his excitement at the prospects offered by Zimbabwe's biggest rally competition.
The Toyota Zimbabwe Challenge Rally which was the last leg of the African Rally championships for the last two years is this year an opener to the African Rally Safari.
Conrad Rautenbach who spent recent years competing in the world rally championships makes a welcome return to a competition which has this year attracted a strong field of 19 drivers, including defending champion Jamie Whyte, Chase Atwell, Zambia's Muna Singh and Craig Green.
