Machete wielding robbers nabbed at gunpoint

FOUR machete-wielding Harare robbers who allegedly pounced on Crown mine, Kaminza in Guruve were finally nabbed at gunpoint after a chase by the police.
Remigio Mabwe (43), Stephen Musanhu (32), Richard Masamba(27) and Jacob Gatsi (43) were arraigned at Bindura magistrates courts on Thursday.
The quartet was remanded in custody by magistrate Maria Msika to March 17.
The state-led by Shiella Kudzai Maribha alleged on February 28 the suspects armed with machetes, a golf stick, an axe handle, catapult, a pair of handcuffs and a toxic chemical broke into the mine after one of them cut the mine's security fence.
They proceeded to the carbon room where they met the complainant and ordered him to lie down before demanding keys to the carbon room.
The complainant shouted for help and the quartet fled.
Police detailed gave a Chase while firing warning shot the suspects suddenly surrendered and were arrested.
