Hospital worker steals Honda Fit

A 36-YEAR-OLD Shamva hospital worker stole a Honda Fit that was parked near a soccer pitch and was apprehended while approaching a toll gate.
Steven Kaini who is a field orderly at Shamva hospital was arraigned before Bindura magistrate Ruramai Chitumbura and sentenced to four years in jail.
The magistrate suspended one ýear of the sentence on condition of good behaviour.
Prosecutor Victoria Choga told the court that on April 2 and at Shamva Country Club Kaini jumped into Alfred Murerwa's (33) blue Honda Fit AFP 8477 and drove away while the vehicle's alarm was whirling.
The complainant was alerted by the alarm and hitch hiked after observing that Kaini was driving along Shamva-Harare highway.
He was then arrested upon approaching a toll gate and the vehicle was recovered.
