ZANU PF Youth Leader Taurai Kandishaya has backtracked on his vow to lead a team of youths to go and collect Boer goats that belong to opposition aligned journalist Hopewell Chin'ono on Sunday.
In a Facebook post on Sunday morning Kandishaya said, "Join us today in Chitungwiza as we campaign for this straight forward ZANU PF comrade. Ward 7 for a fact you do not have an MP, so better elect a Councillor who is at your door step. Meanwhile your so called MP Jobho Wemadzimaj Sikhala is in Mrehwa.
"We are in Chitungwiza campaigning. Today we Zfocus on people of Chitungwiza, whilst they focus on goats in Mrehwa. Come 2023, goats are not registered to vote, people are. (sic)"
Kandishaya had told ZANU PF Youths that they are happy that Chin'ono has posted online the receipts of the goats that he purchased from South Africa so the ones that they are going to collect are those that do not have receipts.
