Seven nabbed for stealing 21 Donkeys in Botswana

	Police in Plumtree on Monday arrested seven men for stealing 21 donkeys in and around the Zimbabwe-Botswana Border line, Bulawayo24.com has learnt.
According to sources, 17 of the donkeys belonged to Botswana while 04 of them were stolen from the locals in Plumtree.
The accused, Admire Chimhondoro (34), Elliot Sibanda (38), Given Ncube (34), Wellington Sibanda (28), Labour Ncube and Andrew Moyo (age not given), appeared before Plumtree magistrates courts on Tuesday facing stock theft charges and were remanded in custody.
Acting on a tip off, police  went on a raid in Hingwe area under Chief Madlambudzi recovering the stolen donkeys while apprehending the suspects.
The accused claim to have stolen the donkeys in Botswana, Nkange area in November last year.
The 17 donkeys are yet to be identified by their Botswana owners while the rest have since been claimed by their owners.
Cases of stock theft are a cause of concern between Zimbabwe and Botswana with the two head of States having recently met recently in Victoria Falls to find ways of ending the crime
