HIGHLANDERS, on cloud nine after making the last eight of the Chibuku Super Cup, take on Caps United as Castle Lager Premier Soccer League action resumes at the weekend, with both giants looking to improve their positions in what has been a difficult campaign.
The Bulawayo giants finally broke their travel curse, beating Triangle 1-0 at Gibbo Stadium on Saturday, mirroring their last away win at the same stadium four years ago.
Highlanders drew one-all with Herentals at the National Sports Stadium in their previous league outing, but their form has been dire lately, drawing against Tenax at Barbourfields and losing to WhaWha before that.
After the victory over Triangle, Bosso assistant coach Joel Luphahla said he hoped the win was an indicator for a brighter future going forward.
"We are happy that we are giving our fans something to smile about. This victory is for the fans and we are saying they must enjoy this moment. I hope this is a turnaround of good things to come," Luphahla said.
Highlanders are placed sixth on the log.
The Green Machine crashed out of the Chibuku Super Cup after losing to Black Rhinos at Vengere Stadium in Rusape at the weekend and are number 12 on the table.
When Highlanders travelled to Harare in the first half of the season, under coach Mandla Mpofu, they played to a 1-1 draw with the Green Machine.
