A Mazowe man was unlucky after boarding an unregistered dark blue Mercedes Benz with three armed robbers on Sunday.

Rodrick Haisaswe (42) was left counting losses after he was robbed of his two mobile phones and $102 by three unknown men.

He was subsequently dumped in Glendale where he filed a police report.

Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the case.

Allegations are that Haisaswe boarded the car near Iron Duke area in Mashonaland Central province heading for Harare.

The car made a U-turn and the suspects covered the complainant with a cloth while the car was moving.

After a few kilometres they removed the cloth and pointed a gun at his head while another pointed a knife at his chest demanding his belongings.

He surrendered two of his mobile phones and a statchel containing $102.

He was pushed out of the moving car after surrendering his belongings and went to Glendale police station to file a report.

Police warned people to desist from boarding unregistered taxis.
