Armed robbers pounce on gold mine

Five armed robbers pounced on AX mine, Simoona in Bindura around 1 am on Friday.
The five allegedly tied up seven employees and got away with 8 x 50 sacks of pregnant carbon, 2 x 6.5 horsepower water pumps, and cellphones.
Sources close to Bulawayo24.com said one of the raided mine workers Dereck Nyaude (36) managed to untie himself around 0400hrs and managed to untie others.
The matter was reported at Bindura police station where investigations are still being carried out.
Mashonaland central spokesperson Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha confirmed the incident.
