Man bashes villagers for disrespecting chief

A Cheeky Mbire man is in soup after he assaulted two men before chasing them away with a knife for not removing their hats at a ceremony conducted by a Mbire Chief.
Evans Musauki (30) of Fumhe village was dragged to Guruve magistrates courts on Friday facing two counts of assault.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The state alleged on June 9 the chief was conducted a swearing in of village head Chawasarira when James Nyika (43) and Cluster Mahembe were also in attendance but did not remove their hats when the chief walked in.
Musauki was incensed by the behavior of the duo and he assaulted them before pulling a knife which he used to chase them away claiming they were disrespecting the chief.
The duo filed a police report leading to the arrest of Musauki.
