Mazowe, Zimbabwe - A tragic incident unfolded in Eskbank, Mazowe, on November 13, 2023, when a man was brutally murdered during a dispute over beer.
According to Acting Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha, the victim, Mushore, was attacked by his friend, Musindo, with a shock absorber. The assault resulted in severe head injuries, leading to Mushore's untimely death.
The altercation began at Lina Katengwe's local bar, where the two friends were drinking. A minor disagreement escalated into violence when Musindo used the shock absorber to strike Mushore. Despite the initial injury, Mushore returned to the bar later that night, where the attack resumed, ultimately proving fatal.
Local authorities have urged the public to refrain from resorting to violence and seek peaceful resolutions to disputes. Sergeant Major Chikasha emphasized the importance of seeking counseling as a healthier alternative to physical confrontation.
