Renowned gospel music artist Darlington Mutseta, popularly known as Mambo Dhuterere, has unveiled his highly anticipated Extended Play (EP) titled Kudenga kuna Manuwere. The project, which features four tracks - Ndiye Manuwere, Sunungura nezodzo, Kudenga kuna Manuwere, and Zororai - showcases Dhuterere's signature sound, solidifying his position in the gospel music scene.
Produced in collaboration with Simplex Records and Makumbe, the EP combines fresh elements while retaining the deep, spiritual essence that Mambo Dhuterere is known for. The project also sees the artist stepping into new territory, collaborating with comedian Frets Donzvo and Repent Kutyauripo, two talents whose contributions add a unique flavor to the album.
In an exclusive interview with NewZimbabwe.com, Dhuterere explained that the collaboration with Frets Donzvo and Repent Kutyauripo was inspired by divine guidance. "It was instruction from the Holy Spirit. Those two are talented and need to be introduced to people and let the listeners decide. I believe Frets Donzvo is more of a musician than he is an actor, he is good at it, but music is his true calling," Dhuterere shared.
The EP's visuals for the title track Kudenga kuna Manuwere and Sunungura nezodzo have already made waves online, with the two videos amassing a combined 175,000 views within just 20 hours of their release. The music videos were sponsored by global insurance firm Diaspora Insurance, which played a crucial role in easing the production process. "Diaspora Insurance sponsored two videos, Sunungura Nezodzo and Kudenga Kuna Manuwere. It made the production so much easier because we had enough money to pay for everything that required funding," Dhuterere said.
The artist emphasized that the central message of the EP is spiritual healing and connection, particularly focusing on the transformative power of Jesus Christ. "It was to address and heal the inner being, mostly following my calling from God Almighty. If you speak of heaven without mentioning Manuwere, there's nothing you've said, because He is the owner of everything," Dhuterere said.
Mambo Dhuterere's latest EP Kudenga kuna Manuwere marks another milestone in his career, blending rich gospel messages with contemporary sound and powerful collaborations. As the EP continues to captivate listeners, the artist is poised to make an even greater impact in the gospel music scene.
