Economic Freedom Fighters' (EFF) Leader, Julius Malema, on Saturday, confirmed that Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi will not attend the party's third National People's Assembly, saying they were not responsible for Ndlozi.
He said people did not have to focus on one person as if he were the conference or that it may not happen without him.
"It's going to happen, it's happening without him. He's not here and it's not in our interest to entertain such nonsense. Not our interest, we're dealing with political issues here of egoism," he said.
"Not people who think they are bigger than this organisation. It will show them, once again, that it's bigger than all of them. So, it's a matter of principle, policy, position. We are no longer trying to answer any nonsense about Ndlozi."
Malema was responding to questions about Ndlozi's absence at their elective conference happening at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Soweto, Johannesburg.
Malema said those present at the conference were the people who were supposed to be there from the beginning.
Ndlozi was not seen at the conference, even when delegates were registering to vote, and he was also not seen at different party events across the country recently.
Speaking to journalists on Saturday, Malema said 90% of the delegates were at the conference and Ndlozi was not part of that, saying "that's what matters".
"We are not going to answer the question about Ndlozi, you got his number, and some of you talk to him, call him," he said.
"Whoever is not here, was not supposed to be here, from the beginning. So, you are not going to reduce this organisation to some individual, we are going to refuse that."
Ndlozi has not posted anything on his social media pages since the start of the conference.
