‘I’m the most deserving candidate’ – Busha

Free Zim Congress president Joseph Makamba Busha says he remains the most professionally and ethically qualified candidate to lead Zimbabwe, insisting that his track record positions him as the strongest contender for the 2028 presidential election — despite the impact of Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3).


Busha, who is based in South Africa and is widely regarded as a finance and mathematics expert, said his three decades of experience financing major projects in the region, along with his reputation as a strong economic thinker, place him ahead of other aspirants. He also cited various international achievements which he believes strengthen his suitability for national leadership.

He declined to comment directly on CAB3, saying the matter was now before Parliament and that his reservations, contestations and acknowledgements were already on record.

“It is now in Parliament. My submissions are known, and I await the outcome while contemplating the parliamentary discussions,” he said.
