Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi has confirmed that there is currently no law banning the use of tinted windows on vehicles in Zimbabwe.
Responding to questions from legislators in the National Assembly on Wednesday, Minister Ziyambi clarified that the use of tinted windows on both private and public vehicles is not prohibited under existing legislation.
The clarification comes amid recent public debate over tinted window regulations, following a controversial statement by Presidential Affairs and Devolution Permanent Secretary Tafadzwa Muguti, who had previously called for a ban citing security concerns.
Minister Ziyambi's remarks put to rest confusion over the legal status of tinted windows, affirming that vehicle owners can legally continue using them.
