Masimba Dinyero suspended over poor results

Kwekwe United has suspended head coach Masimba Dinyero following the team's heavy 5-0 defeat to Green Fuel in Chisumbanje, citing poor performance as the main reason for the decision.

In a statement released by the club, the Board of Directors said that after a thorough review of the team's results under Dinyero's leadership, they had resolved to suspend him with immediate effect. "The suspension is due to the team's subpar performance, which has fallen short of the club's expectations. Despite efforts to revitalise the team's fortunes, the results have not reflected the desired trajectory," the statement read.

Dinyero, who was appointed in June, has yet to register a win with Kwekwe United, which has managed only one victory in 31 games this season.

The suspension comes with specific conditions: Dinyero is relieved of all coaching duties and responsibilities, barred from attending team training sessions, matches, or official club events, but will continue to receive his full salary, benefits, and entitlements. The club described the suspension as a precautionary measure, intended to allow management to assess the situation and determine the best way to restore competitiveness and achieve the team's objectives.
