Ward 23 in Shangani has emerged as a beacon of grassroots development and political unity following a well-attended community meeting that brought together leaders and stakeholders from across Insiza North.
The gathering included councillors from Wards 13, 22, and 23, Proportional Representation councillors, and Zanu PF affiliates such as Teachers for ED, Vendors4ED, Young Women4ED, and Miners4ED. Key provincial figures like Samukeliso Silengani (Secretary for Legal Affairs), war veteran Jabulani Sibanda, and councillors T. Sibanda and Munangati were also present, reflecting broad district-wide solidarity.
Ward 23 Zanu PF Chairman Singara Ambulance praised the visible transformation in Shangani, attributing it to the leadership of Honourable Delani Moyo, MP for Insiza North. Moyo was applauded for spearheading development projects, including eight boreholes, restoration of water supply to Shangani Mine, and improved network coverage in Ward 21.
In his address, Moyo emphasised that development must be action-driven, not promise-based. He cited ongoing projects in education, health, and water access as proof of his commitment to inclusive progress, declaring that "no ward will be left behind."
Senator Esther Nyathi, the Guest of Honour and Zanu PF Politburo member, commended Ward 23 for its organisational excellence and early endorsement of leadership. She urged continued unity and strategic voting to ensure development momentum is sustained.
The event was energised by musical performances from Isaac Shoko, whose songs celebrated the work of Zanu PF leadership and lifted the spirits of attendees.
As the meeting concluded, the message was clear: unity fuels development, and with sustained commitment, Insiza North is poised for continued growth and prosperity.
