The Zimbabwe Republic Police have arrested two men in Harare and Masvingo in connection with separate murder cases arising from disputes that escalated into fatal violence.

In Harare, police confirmed the arrest of Luckman Kamangile (27), a Honda Fit driver accused of killing Amos Karumba (40) following an argument over ZiG 20 change. The altercation occurred on 19 November in the Walter Mukamba area of Ruwa.

In Masvingo, police arrested Kainos Masekesa (32) for allegedly fatally assaulting his wife, Trish Sithembile Masaiti (20), at Mackyey Compound in Mkwasine. Masekesa is said to have attacked her with fists, logs and a hoe on 20 November during a domestic dispute reportedly triggered by accusations of infidelity. Masaiti succumbed to her injuries.

Police urged the public to seek peaceful conflict-resolution mechanisms, warning that minor disagreements can quickly escalate with tragic consequences.

"The ZRP continues to urge communities to value the sanctity of life and desist from resorting to violence," the police said.
