Mnangagwa hands over vehicles, wheelchairs to young Zimbabweans with disabilities

HARARE - President Emmerson Mnangagwa has reaffirmed Government's commitment to inclusive development after handing over vehicles and wheelchairs to five young Zimbabweans with disabilities during a ceremony at State House on Thursday.
The beneficiaries, drawn from diverse sectors including music, entrepreneurship and community development, received Mahindra vehicles designed to enhance their independence and strengthen their ability to support others living with disabilities. Each recipient will also distribute 10 wheelchairs within their communities.
Those honoured included musicians Chipo Muchegwa and Tongai "Greatman" Gwaze, entrepreneur and Zimbabwe Youth Council board member Hazel Mandaza, Bulawayo-based beautician Michelle Madawu, and Tendai Mazuru, founder of the Tendai Mazuru Foundation which supports persons with disabilities and their families.
President Mnangagwa said the initiative reflects the Second Republic's vision of ensuring that no citizen is left behind.
"Government is open to everyone who wants assistance and we continue to help those in need. Everyone who needs help, as government, we are there to help, leaving no one behind. We want everyone to come on board as it is government's prerogative to help those in need," Mnangagwa said.
The donation forms part of ongoing Government efforts to promote social inclusion and empower young Zimbabweans who are working to transform their communities.
