Harare Regional Magistrate Court has exonerated NetOne Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Raphael Mushanawani, from fraud allegations involving US$1.2 million.
Eng Mushanawani had applied for the revocation of his placement on remand, arguing that his arrest and prosecution violated his rights as there was no wrongdoing on his part.
On Thursday, November 27, 2025, Magistrate Mrs. Marehwanazvo Gofa granted the application. In her ruling, she noted that the State provided no evidence linking Eng Mushanawani to any offence, and that all allegations regarding system upgrades were transparent and known to the company's principals.
The magistrate concluded that Eng Mushanawani's actions were legitimate and removed him from remand, effectively clearing him of all charges.
