No funeral wake for slain broadcaster

The family of prominent broadcaster Cordelia Masalethulini is awaiting the conclusion of police investigations before announcing funeral and burial arrangements.

Cordelia's sister, Brita, told H-Metro that the family is prioritising the ongoing police inquiries and will not interfere with the process. "The case is currently under police investigation. We will provide information regarding the gathering and burial arrangements once the police have concluded their inquiries," she said.

Cordelia was found dead along Domboshava Road on Monday under suspicious circumstances. Her boyfriend, Fungai Quintone Tawengwa, 46, has been implicated in the case and is expected to appear in court as investigations continue.

Authorities have not yet released further details about the circumstances surrounding her death.
