Prominent Mutare businessman dies

Prominent Mutare businessman Misheck Chesa, affectionately known as Goosemore or Baba aWiri, has passed away.

Chesa had been largely absent from public life in the eastern border city following a stroke several months ago.

A former ZUPCO employee, Chesa built a reputation as an entrepreneur with diverse business interests, including banana farming and haulage trucking.

Details regarding funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
