ZBC rolls out licensing enforcement vans

The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) has launched new licensing enforcement vans aimed at improving compliance and streamlining services for the motoring public.

The vans will work in collaboration with the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) and the Vehicle Inspection Department to enhance vehicle licensing and roadworthiness assessments.

Equipped with technology from 1010 Technologies, the mobile units can detect unlicensed vehicles, allow motorists to pay on the spot, and issue radio license exemption certificates for vehicles without radios - eliminating the need for a physical visit to ZBC offices.

Officials say the initiative will not only boost compliance but also improve ease of doing business for drivers and enhance coordination between ZBC and road authorities.
