14 dead as Malawi-bound bus crashes in Zimbabwe

Fourteen people were killed on Tuesday afternoon after a Malawi-bound bus was involved in a दुर्घent along the Harare–Nyamapanda Highway, police have confirmed.
In a statement, authorities said the fatal road traffic accident occurred at the 176-kilometre peg near Suswe, in Mutoko.
"The ZRP reports a fatal road traffic accident which occurred this afternoon at 176 km peg along the Harare-Nyamapanda Road near Suswe," the statement read.
According to preliminary findings, a BRD Luxury Coach bus travelling from Cape Town, South Africa, to Malawi was involved in the crash at around 1300 hours.
"Initial police attendance at the scene indicates that 14 people died," police said.
The bus was reportedly carrying 63 passengers at the time of the accident. Several injured victims were rushed to Mutoko District Hospital and Kotwa District Hospital for treatment.
Authorities said investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing, with more details expected to be released in due course.
