A Masvingo City parking marshal was killed after he was struck by a vehicle in the city's central business district on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Augustine Rashirai, who died at the scene.
According to witnesses, the accident occurred after a white Toyota Hilux single cab allegedly failed to stop at a traffic light before hitting the parking marshal.
The driver has been identified by witnesses as a woman popularly known as "Mai Bhobha," who is reportedly involved in selling beer from the back of the vehicle at Mucheke Stadium during football match days. Police have not officially confirmed her identity.
