Neutral venues for Munhumutapa Challenge Cup

Premier Soccer League heavyweights Highlanders, Dynamos, CAPS United, FC Platinum, Ngezi Platinum Stars and Scottland FC headline an exciting lineup of ZIFA Munhumutapa Challenge Cup third-round knockout fixtures scheduled for August 7 to 9.

The matches, to be played at venues across the country, promise thrilling action as clubs battle for places in the next stage of the lucrative knockout competition.

Highlanders face a tricky away assignment against Southern Region Division One side Black Rock at Colliery Stadium on August 8, while Dynamos travel to the same venue a day later to take on former Premier Soccer League side Hwange.

CAPS United have been drawn against Scottland Juniors at Baobab Stadium, while reigning Premier Soccer League champions Scottland FC will face FC Oden at the same venue on August 8.

Former champions FC Platinum travel to Chahwanda Stadium to take on Marere, while one of the standout fixtures of the round will see Chicken Inn host Ngezi Platinum Stars at Luveve Stadium on August 9.

Bulawayo Chiefs will welcome Agama to Luveve Stadium on August 8, while TelOne host Blanket Mine at Ascot Stadium in Gweru the following day.

League leaders Simba Bhora will entertain Manica Diamonds at Wadzanai Stadium, while MWOS host Herentals College at Ngoni Stadium.

Elsewhere, Gwanda Pirates FC will face Jordan at Phelandaba Stadium, Kwekwe United take on Hardrock FC at Chahwanda Stadium, Norton Big Boys FC clash with FC Hunters at Ngoni Stadium, and ZPC Kariba host Triangle United at Nyamhunga Stadium.

The third round begins on August 7 with Aqua Stars taking on Chilli FC at Luveve Stadium before the remaining fixtures are played over the weekend.

The women's competition will also take centre stage, with a full programme of third-round knockout fixtures lined up across the country.

Among the headline encounters, Highlanders Royals will face Black Rhinos Queens, while Scottland Queens take on CAPS United Royals. Herentals Queens have been drawn against Correctional Queens, Platinum Royals will square off against Black Mambas Queens, and Bulawayo Chiefs Queens will meet Cranborne Bullets Queens.

Faith Drive Academy will take on Mkoba Teachers, Harare City Queens face Mpopoma Sports Academy, while Sheasham Queens have been drawn against Kwekwe Queens. Elsewhere, Concession Queens will play ZRP Morris, FC Hunters Queens meet Correctional Queens B, Chapungu Queens face Maningi FC Women, Gweru United Queens take on Mosi Rovers Queens, Buffaloes Queens clash with GreenFuel Queens, and Black Saints Women play Mufakose Queens.
