Bogus nurse arrested at Sally Mugabe Hospital

POLICE in Harare have arrested a 38-year-old man who allegedly posed as a nurse at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital.
The suspect, identified as Godwin Sanyika, was arrested at the hospital on September 11, 2026, according to ZRP national spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi.
Nyathi said Sanyika was allegedly found wearing a State Registered General Nurse blue uniform despite not being authorised to practise as a nurse.
"The suspect allegedly masqueraded as a nurse while wearing a State Registered General Nurse blue uniform," Commissioner Nyathi said.
Police recovered various items from the suspect, including assorted medications, gauze swabs, needles and syringes.
Sanyika has since been charged with impersonation.
Police said investigations into the matter are continuing.
