Man accused of killing MSU student dies by suicide

A man accused of fatally shooting his former partner, Midlands State University (MSU) student Lesidi Nkomo, has reportedly died by suicide in Chiredzi.
Godknows Muleya, from Bulawayo, had attracted widespread public attention following the alleged killing of Nkomo, a 25-year-old from Plumtree in Matabeleland South Province.
According to sources, the shooting followed a domestic dispute between the pair. Muleya allegedly shot Nkomo dead before fleeing the scene.
The day after the incident, Muleya reportedly posted a message on his Facebook timeline apologising to Nkomo and expressing remorse over her death.
Sources close to the matter said Muleya later shot himself at a lodge in Chiredzi, just hours after publishing the message.
Nkomo was a Level 4.1 student at MSU, where she was pursuing an Honours Degree in Psychology.
She leaves behind a young child.
